Ariangela Kozik, Ph.D.

Dr. Ariangela J. Kozik is a research investigator at the University of Michigan in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Kozik's primary interest is conducting translational microbiome research to understand inflammatory diseases. Her current research focus is understanding how the respiratory microbiome is involved in the presentation and pathogenesis of asthma. She is also interested in the application of biopsychosocial models of disease, and an advocate for equity in science and the academy. She is the Co-Founder and Vice President of the Black Microbiologists Association (also known as Black in Microbiology).
