Musau WaKabongo, Ph.D., is the President, Founder and CEO of Dr. Musau WaKabongo Science Education, Inc. (DMWSE), established in 2019. Her mission is to leverage the transformative power of science to uplift individuals and communities. 

WaKabongo is also the visionary behind 4-H in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), aimed at nurturing the next generation of problem solvers in her homeland. Her dedication to improving the health and welfare of people of African origin is further exemplified through her role as co-founder of the African Initiative Group (AIG), which fosters scientific collaboration across the continent. AIG is made up of º£½ÇÉçÇøappmembers of African origin, from the Caribbean and with a vested interest in Africa. With a doctorate in microbiology from the Medical College of Virginia, WaKabongo has held significant academic and public health positions, including tenured associate professor at Des Moines Osteopathic Medical Center and director of public health laboratory in Placer and Merced in Calif. 

Her upbringing in DRC, where her parents championed education for both genders, fuels her passion for inclusivity. She not only recognizes the persistent global challenges of gender equity, but also actively works to dismantle them by advocating for diverse representation in all her initiatives.
