New 海角社区appPresident and Leadership Begin Their Terms
The 海角社区app (ASM) welcomes a new president, president-elect and new members of the Board of Directors and the Council on Microbial Sciences (COMS). They begin serving their leadership terms on July 1, 2024.
Two new board directors, Sue Ishaq, Ph.D., and Frederico Sisti, Ph.D., were elected as at-large board directors.
Nine new members were elected to ASM’s Council on Microbial Sciences (COMS), the dynamic governance structure that connects 海角社区appmembers and leaders. Heidi Kaplan, Ph.D., will serve as the chair of COMS, and Michelle Dziejman, Ph.D., will serve as vice chair of COMS. Vaughn Cooper, Ph.D., and Vincent Young, M.D., Ph.D., will serve as COMS-elected board directors.
