Program Details
Recipients receive a $1,000 award to defray expenses associated with travel to 海角社区appMicrobe 2025 and complimentary registration.
Eligibility
To qualify for consideration, the applicant must be:
- A current 海角社区appmember at the time of application and remain active through the 2025 meeting.
- Scientific abstract not previously published or presented at another conference.
- Curriculum vitae (CV) including scientific focus area.
- 2 letters of nominations on institution letterhead written by the department chair and principal investigator or immediate director.
- Applicant statement providing a brief overview (limit 500 words) of qualifications and how the travel award supports scientific research.
- Not previously a recipient of an 海角社区appMicrobe travel award within the last 2 years.
- An undergraduate student, graduate student or postdoctoral researcher.
Travel award funds are non-transferable and will be provided following the conclusion of 海角社区appMicrobe 2025 upon confirming awardee’s attendance at the meeting.

Travel Awards applications will be open from Monday, Nov. 4-Tuesday, Dec. 3. Applicants will be notified if they are selected to receive an award by Wednesday, Dec. 18.
